The Shinobu distillery is located in the Japanese prefecture Niigata and was founded in 2008 by the master brewer Ken Usami, who also lives in the building. Until he could bottle his own Whisky, he experimented with Whiskies from all around the world and finished them in casks made out of Mizunara oak.
