Currach
Currach is a triple distilled Irish Single Malt, which got a special finish after a maturation in Bourbon casks: The Malt was filled in virgin oak casks, that were charred with Atlantic Kombu Seaweed. Kombu is an eatable seaweed that tastes mildly salty, slightly sweet and intensely like Umami. Kombu is a common ingredient in Asian cooking but is also harvested and eaten in Ireland as a long tradition. The special charring procedure of the casks are giving the Whiskey its exceptional character. The Single Malt is named after the historical ship on which the monks discovered unknown lands.
