Nosing: Sherry Raisin Leather Grape Cinnamon the triple distillation is a different nose than I'm used to with scotch. It has a nice "dustiness". No sulphur at all.

Taste: Grape Plum Cherry Strawberry Sweet Dried Fruit Raisin a dark raisin variety. There is the intense sherry character but it offers more than just a "sherry bomb". It's quite intense on the palate. Definitely benefits with some water.

Finish: Oak Dark Chocolate Dark Chocolate Dark Chocolate Herb the bitterness and dark chocolate finish is held together by the oakiness and it borders on astringent, but luckily doesn't get there for me. It is quite long.

Comment: This was the 2003/2020 release, no listing of it. This was an experience. I would've thought it's much older than 17. Probably one of the better Irish whiskeys i've had, arguably the best (yes, even Redbreast CS 12). Just the intensity of it. Not for everyone but well worth what I paid. That dark chocolate bitterness on the finish that just keeps going and then turns into a semi-sweetness I will not forget.
