Dalwhinnie 15 Years
This bottling of Dalwhinnie is one of the most sold Classic Malts of Scotland. The aroma of the Single Malts shows nuances of heather and peat smoke. The subtle, fruity-sweet taste goes over to an elegant and long finish.

All tasting notes
Heavily fruit led and aromatic. Fresh pear and pineapple. A touch of vanilla, overall sweetness. I'm not sure where all the tasting notes of peat come from, I can't detect it anywhere in this whisky.
Taste:
Intense sweet mixed fruit arrival, transitions into intense maltiness and honey sweetness and oak spiciness.
Finish:
Medium to long, and quite intense. Residual sweet maltiness transitions into dryness.
Comment:
I spotted this at a local supermarket and having never tried it before thought I'd give it a shot. This is very much a great all rounder. The nose is fruity and inviting. The palate is punchy and intense, and the finish is long and enjoyable. I'd say its definitely a value proposition at the moment. Like I mentioned earlier, I'm not sure where all the peat tasting notes come from, perhaps this release has changed a bit in the last couple of years. Either way, I'd definitely recommend it.
