Intense and fruity. Orange peel sherry character, much more so than I remember in the past. Salted caramel and vanilla. The smokiness if there is any is as good as undetectable, I remember it coming through in previous bottles but this is much more fruit led.

Intense and sweet arrival. Sherry again, fresh mixed fruit and vanilla. A background hint of woodsmoke. Very viscous mouth feel.

Long and sweet with some oakiness showing through. Residual spiciness.
Comment:
I hadn't had a bottle of this in a while and decided to revisit it. I think its changed a bit since I last had it, the sherry influence is definitely more pronounced, not that that's a bad thing. The flavour is intense, and although I very much prefer to see whisky bottled at higher percentages I think this can actually take a generous drop of water just to calm it down a little. This is definitely one of my favourite standard bottlings and although its not quite how I remember it, its still very good.
