Nosing: Toffee, caramel, malt, dried fruit, hazlenut, faint maritime sea spray
Taste: slightly viscous malt, sea salt, some acidity, light peat and a touch of oakiness.
Finish: medium
Comment: The essence of this whisky is captured perfectly in its branding. Stiùireadair is a helmsman of a ship - one who steers a ship and this whisky is very much reminiscent of a salty sea spray that would hit a voyaging seafarer. The nose is incredible and promising, unfortunately the palate is largely lacking allthough I do enjoy the unique singular experience of this. At this pricepoint there are better offerings - 73/100.
