Finish: medium-long
Comment: This packs bang for buck - would rate this just about on par with Booker's at $25 less a bottle. The addition of an additional new charred barrel maturation adds a strong brown sugar mellow character to the Woodfords spirit. Wonderfully balanced, just the right amount of sweetness and cask dry bitterness impact which delivers a wonderfully complex flavour profile. A very generous offering - take note distillers - 94/100.

Comment: The nosing is quite unique as you feel like you're sniffing an oak out in the damp woods, but similarly, you are having burned oak smoke hit your face. The scent of dried fruits also follows, things like raisins and dates and plums. Once in the mouth, I feel it balances well left-to-right with the fine oakiness and the unique fruits, some bonfire smoke following with hints of vanilla escaping. The finish, although oily, is followed by the chilli and spice feeling - not over powering but exciting.
This is probably my p

Tastes like the smell but with oak. Syrup sweetness, some oak and spices

Comment:
Best bourbon I've tasted, though I'm not very much into bourbons. It's sweet and nice, but not boring.

Finish: long complex
Comment: Very tasty Burboun with nice oak taste. Works on the rocks or straight. I like the oak taste which is obvious, but not too heavy.

Nosing: full, dark, rich dried/ripe fruit sweet caramel and oak hint of vanilla
Taste: delicious fresh oak, smooth with a little nuttiness slight suggestion of spiciness at the back
Finish: spiciness continues long and warm finish and bit of dryness and finally fresh faint herbs
Comment: Easy drinker. A delicious whiskey, gaining a full body and deep flavour from the fresh barrel double oak process. I get a definite whiff of honey when smelling the empty glass
