Macallan 12 Years Fine Oak

With the fine-oak range, Macallan steered away from their typical distillery character by adding ex-bourbon casks into the mix of sherry casks. It's fine, delicate and mild with floral and citrus notes.

Nosing: Süße Honig Früchte Eiche Rauch

Taste: Eiche Sherry Gewürze Vanille marzipan

Finish: Moderate

Comment: A delicious refined and moreish drop. Complex yet not too rich. Loads of oak give way to sweet subtle nuts, marzipan, a deep spice and a slighter sherry note. Honey and citrus found throughout with an ever so slight peat and leather note. This one sites on my top shelf.
