Nosing:
Mixed fruit
Taste:
Sweet arrival. Remains relatively sweet throughout. More fruitiness, some sweet pastry spices.
Finish:
Light spiciness with a little black pepper
Comment:
This is an interesting whisky. It doesn't particularly have masses of character. It also doesn't really come across like a lot of other 18 year olds due to the brightness of the fruit. I'm guessing it was aged in relatively inactive casks as the wood involvement isn't that prominent. Still, considering the price, it isn't bad by any stretch, just lacks the complexity of similarly aged releases from elsewhere.
