The Edradour was matured in traditional oak casks and then finished in Port wine casks. This procedure took 12 years. Out came a whisky with a lot of character and sweetness.

The Edradour malt matured in Sauterne casks.
Nose: Fruity, with berries and grapes, but not too sweet
Taste: Also berries, but a lot more Grapes than in batch number one.
Finish: Long and warming.

This Edradour is part of the non-chill-filtered series of Signatory and is just like the name suggest without chill-filtration. To avoid the dulling of the Whisky, it was bottled with 46% alcohol strength. Therefore the Single Malt has an intense taste....
