Nothing super exciting. A bottle of Ardbeg 10yr. Just a staple replacement.
@Vasco Love this one!
@DramTasticVoyage Recently I picked up Glendronach 15 and 18, and the new Glenrothes whisky makers cut and 25 year old
@DramTasticVoyage My most recent purchases are two more Glenfarclas 25s, two Glenfarclas 105s, and a Glenfarclas 17. LOVE the 25 and 105! I compared the 105 to a Aberlour A'bunadh and what fun that was! Diluted both down to about 46% from 60%!! The 105 is like a Porsche! Exciting! Racy! Jumps of the tongue! The A'bunadh is like a Rolls-Royce! Smooth, elegant, succulent! I also added a Glenfarclas 17 to my collection, but haven't opened yet. Have a 25 to finish first! :-)
@dennislhopkins Glenfarclas 21 is sometimes as good as 25 I found..and recently got a bottle for £75..what a bargain!!!Glengoyne 21 is great too..can be as low as £92,or as high as £125.Glenfarc 105 always a bargain in 1 litre bottle!!!
got myself a couple of Macallan Concept 1, and a Chichibu Pinot Noir single cask (exclusive to Changi Airport DFS)
Got some of the "Game of Thrones" Lagavulin and Clynelish. They're not bad value and are supposed to be good.
I recently bought Chivas Regal 12 blended scotch whisky & I'm very happy with the product.
It has the following tasting notes:
Nose: A creamy, aromatic melange of vanilla custard, hints of aniseed, lemon curd and butter toffee. Wood shavings and dried banana chips develop with just a hint of cassis.
Palate: More of those banana chips showing through on the palate, this time there's a creamy hit of barley malt too. Notes of ground walnut and caramel.
Finish: Light spice and black pepper on the tail. Lingering notes of cereal sweetness.
Overall: A spicy, beautifully balanced blend. Lots going on here.
HP 12yo a few days ago. Never tried before. Will see.
@DramTasticVoyage Yamazaki 12 (yeah, not Scotch but...) and Glenmorangie Signet. Will be tasting them shortly. Can't hardly wait.
