Shieldaig 18 year Speyside.

    I came across Shieldaig 18 yr at Total Wine recently while visiting family. The sample was interesting and the price was definitely good ($45-ish). Outside of this being an Ian Macleod product does anyone have other knowledge about this single malt?  If it is second string from one of their featured brands then which one?

    I tried to find information about Shieldaig. But there is little information. What I heard is that for Shieldaig, it consists of overproduction from different distilleries and the bottler use it in this whisky.
