So I've asked what's everyone's favorite malt. But what's everyone's favorite anytime anywhere malt. What is in your bar at all times ready to go. Old faithful. The malt you pull out for friends and the malt you can pour and seem not to get sick of. For me it's Dewars 18. A sophisticated blended malt. Easy to pick out flavours and is smooth neat and can take a few drops of water. It's like glenlivet 12 with an extra dollap of honey.
Maybe Auchentoshan 12
My allround malt is the Oban 14. If anyone asks how Single Malt Scotch tastes, I show em this one. Its taste resembles its geographical location: coastal, right between the islands and the Highlands. A bit salty, a hint of smoke, nice malty sweetness...
Currently that's the blantons special reserve for me. Usually I'm not the fan of whiskey, but somehow I'm starting to like the taste of korn in my whiskey.
Dont have. Need variety.
I always have either a Talisker 10 or a Lagavulin 16 in my bar - open or ready to be opened when needed.
I have never bought a whisky twice. YOBO (You only buy once)
