Glen Els review in vlog

    After watching the Glen Els review, I am curious how Hammerschmiede has managed to avoid the wrath of the Scotch Whisky Association. They usually pounce on anyone who uses the word "Glen" on a whisky made outside of Scotland. Also the Glen Els box is a dead ringer for an Ardbeg box.

    Maybe the SWA has bigger problems on its hands with Brexit, or maybe they are still smarting from losing the Battle of the Glen with Glenora distillery in Canada. :lol:

    I thought about that as well. I wrote a warning email to the propietor many years ago and got no answer.

    The Glenora case was lost by the SWA, because there was a local landmark (I think a waterfall) carrying this name. There was a case with Mackmyra which was lost as well due to a local name.
