Hi guys. Mainly i prefer Scotch to Bourbon, however I'd like to try out some Bourbon. I tried the Makers Mark last week, and I was actually rather impressed. Can someone recommend me a few Bourbons?
Glad to hear you're giving bourbons a try. @SanctTom suggested some very good ones, and I had put together some more options in the link below:
@SanctTom Awesome suggestions, I'll have a look at every single one. Thank you sir!
@Carlton Howdy Carlton! That's an awesome list you put together, thanks a lot for linking to it. Ill have a good look at it shortly!
Hi. I tried some affordable bourbon. I choose Jack Daniels Single Barrel to be in my bar.
I like scotch, but time to time I need the lovely vanilla punch. Then I go for a bourbon or rye dram.
I think @Carlton said it all in his posts. Very good recommendations from him.
I will never turn down a good bourbon, but no matter how about much I try, I can never get too much into it. I like the arrival and taste, but something about the finish if off putting to me; I guess it's the corn or oak, but I can't put put my finger on it...
I'd much rather have a bourbon-barreled beer.
@bedlamborn I think so too! It was very well put
For me, Maker's Mark is the most bang for your buck. The bottle has NAS and a screwtop, but within is delicious nectar, sealed with wax by hand. Ahh...
Another good NAS option (read: affordable) is Knob Creek Kentucky Straight Bourbon. 50%abv, so it will be different in strength compared to Maker's Mark (45%abv).
