Hi,

Found few bottles in my local store of The Yamazaki Single Malt Whisky - Distiller’s Reserve for 37 EUR.
Worth the money?
@uuggyy
Depends. Yamazaki's 'Distiller's Reserve' is their NAS entry-level malt and it's certainly not on par with the 12- or even 18-year-old expression. In Japan, this malt can be bought on every corner (convenience stores) and is probably drunk with loads of ice or diliuted with vast amounts of water.
It's not recommended as investment (insufficient quality) but if you'd like to try a Japanese whisky without a hefty price tag, I'd recommend that you grab a bottle and give it a try...

And what about Nikka Taketsuru 12 Year Old for 45 eur?
@uuggyy
Buy a bottle. Nikka Taketsuru 12 years is being discontinued, so these bottles won't be around for long. It's a decent Blended Malt and prices will probably creep up in the next couple of years.

@Mathis Turns out Taketsuru 12 costs 41 EUR and still 4 bottles left.
should I grab all? what do you think?
This is the bottle.
@uuggyy
I think I would at least grab a couple of them.
Then went straight out and bought myself a nice bottle.
Hahahah - in other words, treat yourself and go for both!
Kindest Regards, Mathis
