Anyone tried it? One of my local stores has a few bottles, I love Ardbeg. Currently have 10, oogy, & corry, all amazing!
I haven't seen one in Singapore yet. May I know how much for a bottle of Perpetuum at your place? Thanks!
It's really good. The nose is very restrained for an Ardbeg. Less smoke than you would expect. But on the palate it's very ardbeggish. Peaty, sweet and pretty complex. I haven't taken any precise tasting notes yet, but I'll post them here when it's done. I liked it a lot more than last years's special bottling, the Auriverdes. There's definitely some older casks in the mix.@116520In Germany the lowest prices started at around 85 Euros. Now you have to pay at least 105 Euros or a lot more at most retailers.
I tried both the Distillery Release with 49.2% and the Ardbeg Day Release with 47.4%. I liked both - especially the mouthfeel is really nice. I'll have to try both parallel or even blind once more, since I only had the 47.4 version at the Ardbeg Day event in Hamburg after several drams of the three standards and outside when it was relatively cold, so the nose didn't really have a chance to come through.
May I know how limited is that? I don't see any available in Singapore.
I've read that there are 72,000 bottles of Ardbeg Perpetuum.
Its right at $100 us here. I was thinking about buying a couple bottles.
72000 bottles??? They should ship some over to this side of the global... :bang:

Did Singapore get the special bottlings of previous years?
We only get those special bottlings from some whisky bars here. They are not sold in liquor stores or DFS...
