Rosebank Distillery: Neil Bulloch takes over from Malcolm Rennie
The new distillery manager returns to his home region

After three years as distillery manager of Rosebank Distillery, Malcolm Rennie hands over his position to Neil Bulloch. It is time for him to move on.
Malcolm Rennie has a wealth of experience in setting up and opening whisky distilleries. Kilchoman, Annandale and Lochlea, for example, started up under his management. He has accompanied the Rosebank Distillery in Falkirk / Lowlands since 2022 during its restart after 30 years of being mothballed.
The distillery has now been running since June 2023 and Malcolm Rennie is taking on the next challenge with the development of Laggan Bay Distillery. This time, he is not changing the client: the distillery on Islay, which is currently still under construction, belongs to Ian Macleod Distillers, as does Rosebank.
The new Distillery Manager Neil Bulloch is at home in the Lowlands. He was born and grew up in the village of Menstrie, just 25 kilometres from Rosebank. Most recently, he was Head of Distilling at Bladnoch Distillery .
“I can’t wait to see how the new spirit matures and to be involved in the future releases of Rosebank whisky when the time is right. I couldn’t be prouder to be joining such a respected name in the whisky world. I’m very proud to come back to the area where I grew up and be part of such a great story for Falkirk” says Neil Bulloch.
