The renowned spirits expert will be the leading brand ambassador for spirits there

Helmut Knöpfle is one of Germany's greatest spirits experts. He is particularly at home in the field of high-quality whiskies and was honored to become a member of the internationally renowned circle of "Keepers of the Quaich" in 2018.

On 1 July 2024, Helmut Knöpfles professional career will lead him back to the Schlumberger Group. He worked for the company from 2006 to 2010 before representing brands such as Glenfiddich, Balvenie, Appleton and Sild for Campari, William Grant and most recently Lantenhammer. In future, Helmut Knöpfle will mainly be responsible for Schlumberger's whisky portfolio such as Kavalan, Filey Bay, Heaven's Door, Finch, Mac-Talla, Old Perth and Hinch, but will also be in charge of the other spirits.

"We are delighted that we have been able to recruit Helmut Knöpfle as Chief Brand Ambassador for spirits," says Rudolf Knickenberg, CEO of the Schlumberger Group. "Over the years, we have built up an outstanding range of spirits; in order to be able to distribute this optimally, we rely on equally outstanding advice - and that's exactly what our customers get from Helmut Knöpfle."

"It's not just the flavour alone, but also the stories behind a whisky or rum that make a product unique and tangible," says Helmut Knöpfle. "These stories need people to tell them and pass them on, and that's exactly what I've been doing with great enthusiasm for many years. I am delighted to be back at Schlumberger. Schlumberger has a unique and varied product range and a strong sales organisation, which I would like to support with my knowledge from now on."
