Nosing: CaramelVanillaStrawberry
Very sweet and buttery. Has a sort of strawberry angel delight thing going on.

Taste: SherryCaramel
Sweet arrival, and remains sweet throughout. Creamy sherry notes and caramel. Silky mouthfeel.

Finish: SpicesDried Fruit
Medium to short, drying. Some dried fruit and light spices coming through.

From the outset I recognised this as a fairly typical Tamdhu. With all of their whiskies, you could substitute them for pudding, they're all (at least the younger ones) very sweet and moreish. The nose really gives it away, that sort of strawberry pudding thing has come across before on the nose of other bottlings. This example I hadn't seen before, I'm pretty sure it is a special release for the supermarkets as they usually release the 12Y at 43%. To be honest, there isn't a massive difference between the two, and they are both lacking compared to the batch strength which is very good. This at least has a good value thing going for it. It's good, just not amazing.
