Nosing: Rauch Medizinischer Rauch Maritime Noten Seetang Dunkle Schokolade Kaffee Malz Früchte Zitrus Weizen Getrocknete Früchte Feige

Taste: Rauch Chili Gewürze Süße Nüsse metallic youth citric zest

Finish: oily, slightly dry Eiche

Comment: Talisker is one of my top favourite whisky brands, so this one has made me happy as well. Smoky with marine character with little touches of fruit and citric freshness. A bit aggressive on the tongue, probably because it is a young no age statement whisky, but it still deserves a 5 star rating

Nosing: Eiche Honig Orange Gewürze Rauch Maritime Noten Salz

Taste: Orange Pfeffer Eiche Lagerfeuer Karamell

Finish: Long dry and spicy.

Comment: The sweetness that hits first is like a barley sugar slowly dissolving over your tongue. Some citrus fruits come next and toward the back pepper and peat take you into a torrent of tannin and spice provided by contact with fresh oak. A small caramel note lingers at the end. A great mid week dram!
