Talisker - 2003
This bottling of the Talisker is part of the Distillers Edition of the Classic Malts of Scotland. In this series, the whiskeys are filled after the usual maturation for another six months in processing barrels in the Iberian Peninsula. The smoky, spicy and sometimes spicy character of the distillery is beautifully complemented by the maturing in an Amoroso sherry barrel with sweetness and complexity.

Comment: Very different and I enjoy this. Almost reminds of brandy, but a lot to unpack!
