Smögen Dante is named after the dog of the founder Pär Caldenby. For 10 years, the Swedish Single Malt Whisky matured in first fill Sauternes Wine casks and was then bottled with cask strength. The Swedish Smögen distillery is named after a picturesque fishing village located in Skagerrak, a part of the North Sea between Denmark, Schweden and Norwegen. The distillery was founded by the attorney Pär Caldenby, which simultaneously is a Whisky enthusiast and author.
