Rich sweetness and fruits - oranges, lemons and pears, with sea salt and peaty smokiness
Taste:
Mouth-filling late autumn fruits - dried figs and honey-sweet spices; followed by a smoky malty dryness.
Finish:
Long, smooth sweet finish with oak wood, dryness and a grain of salt.

RATING: 3.4/5.0 ≙ 82 pts

Taste: sweet, sugary, chilli spicines, salt and a hint of oak.
Finish: strong spiciness which fades for nice oak and lastinf quite long
Comment: It is the most spicy malt I've drank. Because of that and nicely composed sweet with saltiness I like it. It is definitelly a characteristic dram which is worth to try.
Taste: Spice, pepper, nuts, citrus, fresh fruit, salt, malt
Finish: long, dry, malt
Comment: A very unique dram. Juxtaposed between the the sweet smooth highland influence and the raw spicy coastal flavours. Like a smoked salt and pepper squid topped with a fresh fruit salsa.
Color: Amber
Nose: grapes, peaches, fresh leather, vanilla, fresh orange, a pinch of sea salt, apples, bananas
Palate: espresso, chocolate, muscovado, red pepper, peat smoke, butterscotch, caramel
Finish: Cotton candy, coffee, egg liqueur
I have it together with the Bunnahabhain 12yo glass by glass to compare these two wonderful drams. Oban is more sour-like on the nose, a little bit more peaty on the palate, but if I'd have to pick the winner... it has to be the Islay beauty.
But the Oban is truly wonderful Whisky. Very good, very tasty, gentle, rich. GREAT! Interesting proposition for summer, warm evenings. Highly recommended

Farbe: Bernstein
Nase: Weintrauben, Pfirsiche, frische Leder, Vanille, frische Orange, ein bisschen Meersalz, Äpfel, Bananen
Körper: Espresso, Chokolade, Muscovado, roter Pfeffer, Torfiger Rauch, Toffi, Karamell
Oban is ein ausgezeichneter Whisky.
Sehr leckerer, zarter, reicher Whisky. Super! Eine interessante Vorschlag für warmen Sommerabenden. Ich empfehle ihn herzlich
