Nosing: Ginger Nutmeg Grapefruit :anise: Caramel

Taste: Pepper Tobacco Blackberry

Finish: Oak Tropical Fruit , and a noticeable lack of Nuts in the aftertaste that is so often present in offerings from The Macallan.

Comment: An intriguing role reversal defines this whisky. Spices clearly dominate the nose whereas sweeter aromas provide more subtle undertones.

There is complexity that surpasses standard offerings from The Macallan. It is correspondingly difficult for me to describe fully, I believe, given my still-developing palate. It is easy to recognize, however, that The Macallan Reflexion is a dram to be savored, and one that can be learned from in its uniqueness.
