Kilchoman 4 Years Sanaig

Sanaig was originally supposed to be a permanently available bottling. But now the stock is so low, that this bottle is only available sporadically in the most important markets. The Single Malt was created in 4 to 5 years old Bourbon casks. Additionally Oloroso sherry casks were used. Significantly more, than with the Machir Bay bottling.

Nosing: Aromatic peat smoke and some salinity on the first nose.... The aroma of cooked fruits shines through on subsequent nosings. Hint of caramel and vanilla.

Taste: Sweet caramel, burst of citrus fruit and well balanced with the peat smoke. This gives way to pork bbq. Pleasant.

Finish: Medium. Not as long or powerful as the Machir Bay.

Comment: Love the harmony of the fruitiness with the peat smoke. Would return for more drams haha.
