Taste: Sweet, sherry, mixed fruits and vanilla hints of carmel or other sweets that are lost in the mix to me. Still very well balanced, and a nice, albeit weak dram.

Finish: Finish is decent, no big revelations just more of the impeccable balance shown through the dram.
Comment: I tried this whisky long before I was "into" scotch. (recovering bourbon freak) I liked that it was approachable, complex, and had no hard edges. After dipping my toes into single malts (especially Islay... Peat FTW!) I can still appreciate this malt, but have learned that my elders have told me true, and that many single malts can be better for less money. What I have not found is any blend that can compare to this...... the artisanal hands of the blenders leave me in awe, while the cheapness of Diageo bottling this at 40% confound me. At half the price, this would be five stars for me all day long.

Comment:
It is not a bad whisky but it is defiantly not worth the price!!! I hade bottles 1/4 the price of the blue label that was 10 times better....
