Nosing: Honig Zitrone Zimt
Definitely showing the young age on this one. Sweet and vibrant. Honey, lemon and cinnamon

Taste: Süße Grüner Apfel Gewürze Pfeffer Vanille
Sweet, caramel arrival, then immediately a citrus /green apple tang. Spiciness builds over time, black pepper. There's an underlying vanilla note throughout.

Finish: Gewürze Pfeffer Grüner Apfel
Long and spice laden. Black pepper and cloves with residual apple flavours.

Comment:
I bought this bottle on the basis of previous released I'd enjoyed from the bottler. This one actually took a little time to settle down after opening. It initially had a very vanilla caramel character like you get in young bourbon matured whisky. But after a week or so, it's showing a lot more complexity on the palate which is welcome. The nose will sort of trick you on this one, there's a lot more going on than it suggests. The palate is showing just a tiny bit of youth, with the spiciness bordering on bitterness, but not quite getting there. Very enjoyable stuff though, and at a good price.
