A well-blended DFS offering.
The Einar captures the desirable qualities of HP, with assertive Bourbon characters on the nose and the revered passion fruit and smoked nuts aromas of the best HPs. The occasionally observed Ethyl-Acetate does not become dominant in this version.
The palate similarly captures the oily, sweet front palate of orange peel with the increased oaky tannin bite we have come to expect in most modern Scotch bottlings.
A rather successful version and one of the best in this duty-free line-up. Reminds quite a bit of what the 12Y used to be.
