Nosing: Sherry Früchte Gras
Sherry nose, with lots of fruitiness - apple pear apricot and a pronounced grassy character. Very nice.

Taste: Grüner Apfel Birne Gras Süße Malz (cereal) Sherry
Fruity arrival, cereal flavours intensify over time and transitions back into that grassiness from the nose. The same sort of note you get from NZ Sav Blanc. Overarching sherry flavours.

Finish: Sherry Gras Malz (cereal)
A medium length and rounded finish. Lots of cereal notes and that grassiness lingers around. More sherry cask influence noticable on this than on the palate.

Comment:
I went into this one not knowing what to expect. I got it as part of a tasting set and a very welcome addition it was. I've never identified grass flavours in a whisky before, and checking other tasting notes of this I haven't seen any mentions of it elsewhere. However, that's what I tasted so that's what is going in the review. Its not a malt whisky which is my usual fare, however the grain aspect of it comes across almost like maltiness. The bottling strength is perfectly judged, it doesn't need water for my mind. Very impressed by this one, its definitely a unique and interesting whisky.
