Nosing: Sherry Nuts Orange
Oranges, juice and zest. Mixed nuttiness, clear sherry cask nose.

Taste: Orange Coffee
Sweet arrival. Lots of oranges, develops into black coffee.

Finish: Coffee Oak
Medium length. The coffee note from the palate intensifies. Turns much drier. Oak flavours come forward.

Comment:
I'm usually quite impressed by the selection of Whisky that M&S keep in stock, and this is no different. The nose and palate are pungent with oranges and nuts. The transition into coffee from that may seem odd but it sort of works. This is a very different sort of sherried whisky than I'm used to, it feels like a lot of active barrels were used in this as despite the 40%abv it packs a big flavour. Good price too, something to grab if you see it in your local store.
