Nosing: OakCinnamonNutmegDate
Light to medium intensity. Oak driven. Light spices, cinnamon and nutmeg. Dark brown sugar, some neutral dried fruit like date or fig.

Taste: FruitPepper
Light intensity arrival. Lacks the richness that the nose promises. Initially sweet, with some fruitiness, pepper heat comes forward over time and the flavour thins out.

Finish: OakGinger
Short, quite thin, and mostly oaky. A bit disappointing. Some ginger. Drying.

Comment:
I'm pretty sure I haven't had this one before. It's an interesting spin on the standard release Glenfiddich releases I've had before. The nose is actually pretty ok. On the palate it starts to go down hill though. It lacks the intensity it needs, and it gets thin and watery in a hurry. The less said about the finish the better. I'd say it would have been better at higher ABV, but I reckon that oak would have gotten out of control in a hurry.

Comment: a surprisingly good dram. excellent quality/price ratio! I'm usually more a sherry guy but this was sweet all over. Could see this becoming a daily drinker, especially for the price!

Nosing: BananaSpicesVanillaOak

Taste: OakWalnutVanilla and something a bit soapy.

Finish: Bitter Oak , lots of it, lasts a good while. can detect a hint of Clove

Comment:
I've had this bottle open for over a year, it seems to have changed a bit over time, used to smell more oaky, now it's more of a savory sweet banana vanilla thing. The taste is very very oaky, they ain't lyin'. Quite bitter. Overall good, and serves as an interesting and different alternative to the 15 YO. I'd enjoy more complexity however, the oak really masks any other stuff that could've been there.
