Nosing:
Sweet , a little white wine grapes , plus a few apples
Taste:
A few bitter notes to the beginning , the whiskey is the oral cavity . Back come out almonds to light
Finish:
Slightly sweet, slightly bitter but not too exaggerated .
Comment:
Limited edition GlenDronach Sauternes Finish, aged 13 years and bottled at 46%. Just 2400 bottles was made in October 2009. This is a particularly unique bottling as it deviates from the traditional heavily sherried style typical of GlenDronach.

This particular whisky is finished in Château d'Yquem Premier Cru Superior Sauternes wine barrels. The box for the whisky has the name of the vineyard(Château d'Yquem Premier Cru Superior) on it. Because of this Château d'Yquem threatened to sue Glendronach if the did not remove the bottle from the market, and they did. So there are only a limited amount of this bottle out there. My guess less than 200 today.
