Glenallachie 12 Years Madeira Wood Finish
Glenallachie Madeira Wood Finish is part of the Wood Finish series, in which the Malts of different age finish in different cask types. The 12 year old matured for ten years in American oak casks and finished in Barrique casks, which contained Malvasia Madeira Wine before. Malvasia is a Red Wine type that is popular in Italy, Spain and Croatia. It is known for its aromatic, floral and light nutmeg notes.
Under the leadership of Billy Walker, Glenallachie was revived. The distillery only produced for the Blend industry for the last ten years, the last and only original bottling being released in 2005. Now, four different original bottlings were created. Non-coloured, not chill-filtered and matured in the most different cask type.
This bottling is exclusively for Germany. Limited bottling.
