The 18 year old Glen Grant matured in Bourbon casks and in refurbished Hogsheads. The 'major' James Grant Junior inherited the Glen Grant distillery in 1872 from his father and had big plans for it. With his then 25 years of age and enthusiasm about technology, he himself created a new high and narrow pot still with an for its time unique cooling system with water.
