Comment:
This is a very intensely flavoured malt. The nose is pungent and on the palate it is super punchy. It's actually quite well judged though at the higher ABV, In my opinion I wouldn't be adding a lot of water to it, though it does mellow out with just a little. I'm not sure if it's my favourite style of whisky, it reminds me a lot of good quality bourbon. That being said, the quality is good and the price is very reasonable.

Spice cake, heather, nutmeg, vanilla, esters and Ethyl-Acetate, malt and coal on the nose. With water, more caramel, clean oak and dried fruit emerging.
Sweet, malty, soapy and oily palate.
Somewhat clipped/short finish dominated by caramel notes.
