Eagle Rare 17 Years
This 17 year old Eagle Rare is one of the oldest Bourbons you can get on the market. It is pretty heavy and strong, because of the 17 years in the fresh casks.

Excellent Bourbon showing thoughtful oak selection and management.
Initial aromas show aged "rancio" aromas and floral qualities very reminiscent of Pappy Van Winkle bottlings, but the char, caramel and corn qualities are a little more obvious.
Very achieved palate, too, with only light sweetness, but silky structure.
I will thoroughly enjoy two sips, after which it gets too much - just not a Bourbon guy.
