All tasting notes
Very, very fruity, a hint of heather, pears, green and red apple, some red fruits
Taste:
A spiciness from the oak, fruitiness, sweetness, vanilla honey
Finish:
Excellent long aftertaste because of the long maturation period.
Comment:
It has everything! A very fruity and dominate nose. Then an astonishingly intense attack on your tongue and a very well balanced aftertaste.
Rating of article "Dalwhinnie 15Y - 43% - 0.7l"
A big, crisp, dry and very aromatic nose with hints of heather and peat.
Taste:
Smooth, soft and lasting flavours of heather, honey sweetness and vanilla followed by deeper citrus-fruit flavours and hints of malted bread.
Finish:
Long, lingering, surprisingly intense finish that starts sweetly, then gives way to smoke, peat and malt.

Heavily fruit led and aromatic. Fresh pear and pineapple. A touch of vanilla, overall sweetness. I'm not sure where all the tasting notes of peat come from, I can't detect it anywhere in this whisky.
Taste:

Intense sweet mixed fruit arrival, transitions into intense maltiness and honey sweetness and oak spiciness.
Finish:

Medium to long, and quite intense. Residual sweet maltiness transitions into dryness.
Comment:
I spotted this at a local supermarket and having never tried it before thought I'd give it a shot. This is very much a great all rounder. The nose is fruity and inviting. The palate is punchy and intense, and the finish is long and enjoyable. I'd say its definitely a value proposition at the moment. Like I mentioned earlier, I'm not sure where all the peat tasting notes come from, perhaps this release has changed a bit in the last couple of years. Either way, I'd definitely recommend it.

homey sweetness
Taste:
oily, sweet honey, a little bit of spiciness
Finish:
nice, long, sweet and a bit spicy
Comment:
This can be a usuall sweet highland malt and nothing more but lingering and very sweet aftertaste makes it a nice dram to repeat.

Taste:

Finish:
long lasting
Comment:
I've heard this drum has a quite norm one, it means not worse but not better. But reality is that Dalwhinney has a quite typical fruitiness one with sweet and wood flavor. Very different from my expectation. And finish is a bit long . This drum is the worthy to buy. I recommend.
