Comment: Quite hard to pick out the tasting notes on this one. Depending on what you eaten or been drinking before this one, it may have a smell/taste like fresh meat.

Color: quite natural gold (even though, it's not natural)
Nose: Sherry, vanilla, raisins, new wood, leather, prunes. Reminds me Aberlour Double Cask 12 yo a little bit… but in this case, I feel a bit of smokiness, which surprises me. The aroma is beautiful 23/25
Palate: Leather, chocolate, butterscotch, Sherry, coffee, a pinch of smoke. Very subtle, typical Speysider. 22/25
Finish: bitter chocolate, semi-dry wine, yeasty, a little short, watery and slightly metallic 20/25
Balance: Sensational! Nose and the Palate are great, but the finish is a bit disappointing. However, it's the first time I met a Speyside Whisky with a little shadow of a peatiness. Very, very interesting. 23/25
I had a great expectations about this Whisky. I am not disappointed. I’m looking forward to trying other Speyside Whiskies. I fully recommend
Overall 88/100

Nase: Sherry, Vanille, Rosinen, neues Holz, Leder, getrocknete Pflaumen.

Nosing: Malt Tropical Fruit Fruit Vanilla Sweet Honey Herbs Mint Pineapple Floral

Taste: Malt Honey Sweet Pineapple Fruit Dried Fruit Mint Oak Tropical Fruit

Finish: Oak Malt Sherry Herbs Fruit Pineapple Dark Chocolate Coffee

Comment: Very complex and is a very aromatic speyside malt. The finishing is not long enough to savour, but is not too short. The balancing is a bit off to floral and tropical fruits, if it wasn't because of the maltiness I would have thought it was not a whisky but a brandy instead. Overall a very good speyside if you have enough time to appreciate the complexity of this malt. Just a bit off balanced for me.
