Finish:

Comment: Mouthwatering, warming & moreish. The mix of ABV, tannin and spice leaves the mouth wanting more. This silky smooth drop begins sweet with a light caramel tone that holds throughout and transforms into flavours reminiscent of a rich dark fruit cake with preserved citrus peels. Nuts, sherry and a minor dark chocolate note all accompany this with a decedent creaminess. A touch of peat smoke goes very well in the long dry and sweet finish. An Islay whisky for all!

Comment: This is a truly amazing whisky. Smokey whisky is normally not my thing (yet), but I really like this one. Very interesting taste.
Taste: completely different than the nose. Very powerful, although very pleasant as well. Sweet! Chocolate, orange, vanilla, almonds. The alcoholic content is perfectly hidden.
Finish: long, warming, caramel, a little smokey aftertaste.
Balance: It's an Islay Whisky. Some of Islay-Malt-Lovers could be surprised by the peat level... but it's definitely worth to try. Delicious and pleasant. Good, affordable price for such a fantastic quality.
Comment: 46,3% ABV, non-chill filtered, natural colour. One of my very favorite Whiskies. Only 3 PPM - it makes it very gentle. I will always come back to this fantastic Islay Single Malt. 92/100
Taste: Initially strong pepper in the back of the tounge which develops in to a long sweet taste of sherry, vanilla and toffe with just a hint of bitterness. Very good balanced
Finish: Long and sweet, slightly dry in texture
Comment: Complex and rich in both nose and taste. Mellow and round in perfect balance. One of the very best 12 year old I had so far.
