Benriach 10 Years Curiositas

The heavily peated Benriach Curiositas shows a thick cloud of smoke. After the smoke is gone you find some smoothness and sweetness that is being replaced by spices. The finish comes with a bit of peat smoke again and a slight bitterness.

Nosing: Strong peat smoke and slight medicinal property. Pome type fruits

Taste: Peat smoke, tannin, spice. Tingles sides of tongue pleasantly.

Finish: Moderate. Peat smoke on exhale through the nose. No iodine after taste which is a plus for me.

Comment: Tasting was done with 4 or 5 drops of water. Very nice fairly heavily peated Speyside whisky. Goes very well with a full bodied cigar.
