Finish: medium
Comment: Different to a lot of bourbons I've tasted. Don't think I would even classify this as bourbon the way it tastes. Texas Whisky probably more appropriate. Nice nose. Caramel drizzled dates. Taste not as pleasant. Whiff of smoke and bit of heat (not characteristic of bourbon), honeyed-ham even and spices and a little citrus. Non chilll filtered 46% carries a lot of raw flavour. A little off the beaten track, different but not amazing for $89 in Australia. I personally prefer a bourbon flavor profile, but this is different. 77/100.
