Nosing: Barley Sweet Cake Banana Ginger with a background hint of Orange

Taste: Oak Vanilla and a faint undertone of Sweet ; very drying

Finish: Oak Almonds , a mild Coffee bitterness, and the barest hint of Sweet to cap off the experience.

Comment: The Arran Malt's 10-year old expression promises somewhat more on the nose than its flavor profile can deliver. An enjoyable dram, but lacking the distinguishing flavor characteristics of a sherry- or peat-influenced whisky, or the flavor complexity that comes with greater age - the latter point suggesting that The Arran Malt's 14- or 18-year old expressions could be exceptional.

Fresh, grassy, fruity. A light whisky - but complex for its age.

A great whisky if you take into account the price and age. Such a lovely dram!
