Ardbeg 10 Years TEN
Ardbeg TEN stands for a very intense, peated Whisky that you can enjoy regularly. Its taste is full and intense like the Isle of Islay itself. While tasting you always have this smoky note lingering over everything. A very nice non chill filtered whisky indeed.

Taste: vegetables like burned beetroot, sour from chicken soup, smoke only on the beggining.
Finish: quite long and very smoky
Comment: This position is for those who like intense smokiness, vegetables and kind of "lunch - dinner" taste in whisky, who are looking for very complex whisky with no sweetness in.
It is not for those who don't prefer to much smoke, who prefer sweetness, who are looking for long nice finish. Not for me definitely. I can find the smokiness of Ardbeg in flue gas when I'm in the car with air con on - not the pleasant one.
Alcohol hidden perfectly.
Prices going up so it is good to buy on sales in supermarkets.

Taste:

Finish: Long
Comment: Like train brakes and a well polished leather chair near the sea. There are also some spices and malt to be found in this whisky. Extreme flavours yet not too rich. Delightfully balanced.
At last, I'm going to try THE ARDBEG!!! Yesterday I tried the Laphroaig 10yo and I was positive surprised. Tomorrow I will have a dram of Octomore 7.1! Oh! What a happy day!
And now: the Ardbeg:
Color: bright gold
Nose: extraordinary! Flowers, citrus fruits, vanilla, caramel, smoke, backed apples, prunes, oak cask
Palate: strong, intense, sweet, fruity, peaty, vanilla, caramel
Finish: long and pleasant, smokey and intense
Compared with Lapghroaig 10yo, this one is much more complex, but less smokey, less peaty
Definitely one of the best whyskies I've ever tasted. Actually it's going to be my number TWO, after Aberlour A'bunadh
93/100
Deutsch:
Endlich! Ich probiere DEN ARDBEG! Gestern habe ich den Laphroaig 10 Jahre alt gehabt und ich war positiv überrascht. Morgen werde ich den Octomore 7.1 probieren. Oh! Was für eine shöne Zeit! Und jetzt: der Ardbeg
Farbe: hell Gold
Nase: Ausgezeichnet! Blumen, Zitrus, Vanille, Karamell, Rauch, Backapfel, getrocknete Pflaumen, Eichenfass
Gleich hinter den Aberlour A'bunadh
