Comment: sweet on the nose, no discernible fruit, but definitely fruity. The taste is initially VERY sweet, becomes creamy and fills the mouth, very pleasant with just a hint of bitter chocolate on the finish, followed by an intense dryness. Overall I found it very sippable and pleasing. Very enjoyable. My first single malt scotch outside of Glenfiddich. I’m very glad I bought it.

Taste:

Finish: not so intense but long and pleasant "leather" with a cigarette
Comment: A decent, well balanced, intense but not overrun overall taste, not so complex but a true Scoth whisky with no hidden surprises, smooth and without any alcohol attack on tongue or palate. I matched my tasting experience similar smelling a true leather coat, that has both that gentlemen and rogue effect. After Aberlour 12 we opened 4 more other single malts, but came back to this batch Aberlour to recognize its quality, but not that intense in aromas compared to those others bottles. One more interesting thing about this whisky. When you smoke while drinking it, the finnish become quite an interesting journey. New smokey notes appear that brings more leather notes (that I usually seek) to that finnish... Did not experinced this much brilliant change in aftertaste with any other whisky yet, so for me this was a winner with half a packet of cigarettes on that night... Next bottle will be a more aged Aberlour surely, hoping for even a more intense leather long finnish.
Almost forgot. The price was cca USD47 in beverage wholesale which is a winner for this brilliant nectar
