Comment: I compared this A'Bunadh Batch 62 side-by-side with a Glenfarclas 105. Both cask strength, both nearly same ABV (59.9 vs 60). Both are to die for! The GF 105 is like driving a Porsche, whereas the A'Bunadh is like driving a Rolls-Royce. The A'Bunadh is elegant, softer on the nose, oaky, a little musty. On the tongue it is luscious, creamy, smooth, butter/toffee, refined. Nice long legs, again, oaky and hints of chocolate. Delightful. The GF 105 on the nose is intense, exciting, orange zest, sherry! On the tongue the GF 105 literally dances on the tongue! Exciting! Lively! Spicy! Driving in the fast lane! Legs not quite as long as the A'Bunadh, but definitely irresistable! Both are definite sherry bombs! I diluted both down to about 48% ABV so as to enjoy all of their different aromas. If I want fast and exciting, I go for the GF 105. If I want slow and smooth, I reach for the A'Bunadh. Both are exquisite, and I will make sure to have several bottles of each in my inventory!
