Nosing: 
All the sweet things. Caramel, honey, butter, some underlying fruitiness. Just a hint of sultanas.
Taste: 
Sweet arrival. Some fruitiness - I'll go along with peaches from the tasting notes I guess, but it isn't overly distinct. light spices. That buttery note from the nose returns.
Finish:
Medium length and drying. Some wood spiciness.
Comment:
I think Aberlour is trying to win prizes for their silly names at this point. I suspect Casg Annamh is actualy an insult in Klingon. This is an odd whisky for me. I can tell that it is quite young because of the sweet caramel, butter toffee type thing it has going on in the nose and palate. I've come across it before in other young NAS whiskys that use predominantly active bourbon barrels. I'm not the biggest fan of the style, but this is somewhat saved in this case by the inclusion of some sherry casks which seems to have lent some fruity notes. It is also helped by the bottling strength which lends an intensity of flavour which is appreciated. I'm very half in half about whether I like it or not to be honest.
