Ardbeg 10 Years TEN
Ardbeg TEN stands for a very intense, peated Whisky that you can enjoy regularly. Its taste is full and intense like the Isle of Islay itself. While tasting you always have this smoky note lingering over everything. A very nice non chill filtered whisky indeed.

Lots of smoke, Sweet vanilla honey, some light citrus fruit
Taste:
Sweet, smoky arrival. Has a light mouthfeel but with an intense flavour. Develops into a citrus sourness and a slight bitterness
Finish:
Medium length with lingering smokiness. Returns to sweetness after the hit of sourness. A bit of oakiness in there too, seems to diminish a bit after the bottle is open a while.
Comment:
I think I'd definitely say that I like this malt, but not love it. The nose is a bit subdued and not particularly interesting. In the mouth it is well rounded but I prefer the oily character of a lot of the other Islay malts. The finish is fine, but again, I don't really love it. I would definitely say that its well put together though, It just doesn't push my buttons.
