Glenlivet 18 Years
18 long years of maturation and the addition of ex-sherry casks make this Glenlivet much more complex than the popular 12-year-old standard bottling. Despite its quality it's still much more affordable than a lot of other 18-year-old single malts.

All tasting notes
Immediately fruity, apple and pineapple. Some mixed fruit peels with a background sherry note . Raisins and vanilla and just a hint of pepper. It has a confectionery sweetness that reminds me of powdered sherbert sweets.
Taste:
Rich and creamy, apple and slight menthol. Spicy oakiness and a slight smokiness. It has a pleasing tartness which balances the sweetness creamy mouth feel.
Finish:
Long and fruity with bags of spicy oak.
Comment:
This isn't my favourite type of malt, but its definitely interesting and enjoyable. The nose is complex and fruity while the flavour is punchy and bold. I'd certainly recommend trying it, at the price its a bargain.
