Comment: The Glenlivet 15-year old French Oak Reserve is a wonderful example of contrasts between the nose and taste experience in a whisky. Fruits and desserts provide a warm welcome on the nose. But the palate is dominated by spice and pleasant bitter notes. Complementary spice on the nose and sweetness on the tongue are present only as fine threads within the blankets of scent and taste, respectively.
